31C3

This new section with planed, running and closed activities I want to open with my participation on the 31-st CCC congress. What is this 31C3 you may get on the pages of “Computer Chaos Club”. For my self I can say less about it because I didn’t have enough time to get around the congress. For my participation on this event I have to thank a man named Thorge (newer knew if this is his real or nickname). He invited me to participate on the congress with a little star trek origami workshop. I must confess
First I had some doubts with it. The first one was to stay alone at my table because I think that the name “computer chaos club” would probably imply the handling of some other threads which are completely different than origami. I was simply unsure if I would get enough members for the workshop. And second one and may be my major fear was not to stay alone at my table but to get enoughembers who want to learn something from me and than to fail as a teacher. Once I tried my self with class of my son in the art lesson and this was a disaster. I chose very simple origami figures and was unable to show the kids them how to make. But my fear were pointless. Both if them. Two days I were there with about three sessions per day and all of them were full. Even more than full.
And I want also to thank all participants of my workshop for the filling not to fail, for the experience and knowledge you gave me.
Of course the next time I will be there. And now when I believe in my ability as trainer and yours as learners we can try some ambitious challenging models like the Enterprise D or perhaps a Star Wars model of Yoda, Tie Fighter or X-Wing. And if I look at your work I am sure you can master it.
